Charitable and Civic Group Contributions - RACE FOR CHARITY!!

Over the years, the "Quake on the Lake" has given thousands of dollars to various charities through this awesome fund-raising event. This is the largest fund-raising effort for the Oakland County Community Club's Race For Charity. In cooperation with officials from Oakland County, Waterford and White Lake Townships, as well as the DNRE and sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association; proceeds from this fund-raiser directly benefit The Rainbow Connection. The Rainbow Connection is a 501(c)3 charity founded by Oakland County Executive, L. Brooks Patterson. The mission of the Rainbow Connection is to make the special wishes of Michigan children with life-threatening or terminal illnesses come true. Please note that the Oakland County Community Club is also a private, non-profit 501(c)3 charity, so your participation will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by the law.

Additionally, the "Quake on the Lake" contributes dollars to other civic organizations that fundraise at the event. Groups work in concession stands, sell programs and volunteer for staff positions, etc. They perform services in exchange for contributions and, in turn, initiate their own community projects.
